Jey Uso recently lost his WWE Intercontinental Championship to Bron Breakker on RAW due to interference from The Bloodline. While some have criticized the interference, the live crowd apparently had a different reaction.
Legendary journalist Bill Apter recently shared his thoughts on the match that ended with Bron Breakker regaining the title. While the bout seemed to get off on an even foot, the sudden arrival of The Bloodline tipped the scales against the Yeet Master. As a result, Bron was able to capitalize on the opportunity to pin Jey.
Speaking on Sportskeeda's The Wrestling Time Machine, hosted by Mac Davis, Bill Apter recalled how the live WWE audience reacted to Bloodline's appearance. While many may not have liked it, the fans in the arena were apparently pumped.
"I don't know how it came across on TV, but the live crowd, when The Bloodline came out, went nuts in a negative way. But they went nuts, and you could feel the emotion from the fans there that they didn't know what was gonna happen. Like Teddy said, this didn't hurt Jey Uso at all because it was a screwjob finish." A WWE Hall of Famer also commented on the match
Teddy Long was quite pleased with how Jey Uso's loss was booked despite only holding the title for less than a month.
On the same episode of The Wrestling Time Machine, Teddy shared his thoughts on the fight. According to him, Jey's loss was believable and did not hurt his character.
"I thought the match was great, and the way they took the title like it was believable. Because you take a guy, you do three or four things to him on the outside, you know what I mean? You pretty much got him tired out and beat up. So the way that they done that, Uso, he was beat up, he just couldn't take it no more. Then Breakker hits 'em with the big spear, and that's it." For now, fans will have to stay tuned to see what is next for Jey Uso in WWE.
