Wrestling star Tessa Blanchard has grabbed eyeballs after her recent appearance at TNA Wrestling's Final Resolution event. She appeared on the show after a four-year hiatus from the company.
Blanchard showed up at Final Resolution and attacked former Knockouts Champion Jordynne Grace. This resulted in her match against Rosemary ending in a no-contest.
This week on The Wrestling Time Machine with Mac Davis, Sportskeeda Senior Editor Bill Apter noted that there may have been some issues leading to Tessa's departure from the company. However, he felt that the 29-year-old sharpened her skillset in other promotions and was better than ever. The veteran journalist commented that her past didn't matter and hoped Tessa Blanchard would have a successful career with TNA.
"Tessa Blanchard left TNA, there were some issues. I don't know if she used the N-word or not. She went to CMLL in Mexico, held the tag team championship there. Made a great showing for herself for a long time there. She's someone who came out of George South's Excellent Wrestling camp. She was in NWA, she was in CMLL and she's honed her craft to be even better. So whatever politics went on with her, whether she used the N-word or not, it doesn't matter. She's a talent, she's gonna do great in TNA." [From 2:55 onwards]
There has been a mixed response to Tessa Blanchard's return to TNA Wrestling. It will be interesting to see how the company books her this time around.
