Kevin Owens wasn't successful against The Bloodline, a story that has repeated itself time and again. In what was the hardest week of his professional career, he sent an emotional message.
One day before Money in the Bank 2024, Kevin Owens revealed that his mother was hospitalized in Quebec, but he decided to perform instead of being there with her despite nobody in WWE outright objecting to him taking a leave.
In the post-Money in the Bank 2024 off-air segment, Kevin Owens broke character and said that it was the hardest weekend of his life.
"This was the hardest weekend of my life in the business and you guys helped me get through it. Being in the ring with two guys I looked up to my entire career, two legends, two guys I'd take a bullet for any day. So thank you, thank you, thank you."
It'll certainly be a bitter pill to swallow, and many will be wondering when Owens' story with The Bloodline will end. Considering how Solo Sikoa seems to be next in line for an Undisputed WWE Championship match against Cody Rhodes, perhaps it wouldn't be surprising to see him keep his allies around.
Owens, Orton, and Rhodes will all be looking to bounce back.
