Ludwig Kaiser has been one of WWE's breakout stars in 2024. The German has consistently proven that he is more than just Gunther's sidekick, showcasing his talent inside the ring.
Hence, it was no surprise when Kaiser faced off against a superstar of CM Punk’s caliber during recent house shows as part of the WWE Holiday Tour. A clip from one of their matches has now gone viral.
During the bout, Punk attempted to execute John Cena's iconic Five Knuckle Shuffle. As fans chanted, “You Can’t See Me,” Kaiser, lying on the mat, responded, “I can see you,” in what was a hilarious moment during the encounter.

Charlotte Flair to return and wrestle a CURRENT CHAMPION?
The match ended with Punk hitting the Go to Sleep to secure the win. Kaiser’s Imperium stablemate, Gunther, won’t be pleased with this outcome. However, The Ring General will have the opportunity to restore Imperium’s dominance, as he is set to defend the World Heavyweight Championship against CM Punk at the WWE Holiday Tour house show in Chicago.
Gunther urges Ludwig Kaiser to win major WWE championship
Ludwig Kaiser challenged Bron Breakker for the Intercontinental Championship on a recent episode of Monday Night RAW. Despite a valiant effort, Kaiser ultimately came up short as Breakker retained the title.
Following the match, Kaiser was seen backstage, visibly dejected after his loss. Gunther approached him, offering words of encouragement. The Ring General motivated Kaiser, urging him to swallow his pride, believe in himself, and focus on reclaiming the Intercontinental Championship for Imperium.
"This is not about your ego. You better swallow your ego and focus on what's important, and that is for you to win the Intercontinental Championship, and bring it to us, to Imperium. This championship gold, claiming this and holding it is one of the most difficult things in our business, and to do so, you gotta act with your head and not your heart," Gunther said.
It remains to be seen what WWE plans to do with Ludwig Kaiser as he seeks to rebound from this setback.
