SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis needed to take matters into his own hands after his security team was useless against Cody Rhodes' alliance. The GM had to bring in some interesting reinforcements.
This week, we saw the immediate fallout of SmackDown from Chicago seven days ago. Jacob Fatu took out Cody Rhodes, Kevin Owens, and Randy Orton, and this week, the trio sought revenge. They wasted no time and went right after The Bloodline, with KO even sending Tonga Loa through a table.
After the security was taken out, General Manager Nick Aldis got the New York Police Department (NYPD) to calm things down. It worked, and Cody Rhodes' alliance would walk backstage and drive away to end their role on the show.
New Champs in WWE! More RIGHT HERE
This, of course, is all ahead of the big six-man tag team match at Money in the Bank 2024 in Toronto.
What was interesting was how Randy Orton gave a peep over to the WWE Champion when he mentioned his title. Either way, it was a chaotic start to Friday Night SmackDown, and the crowd absolutely loved it.
Not many are fans of the fact that Cody isn't defending his WWE Championship at Money in the Bank.
Things are going to continue to escalate in the weeks to come. Only time will tell how Nick Aldis handles it.
