According to a WWE veteran, Vince McMahon isn't very interested in wrestling itself. However, the business aspect of the industry attracted him from a young age.

McMahon is undoubtedly one of the hardest-working wrestling promoters in history, having expanded the Stamford-based promotion into a global sports entertainment giant. Despite his innovative ideas regarding the company, which used to be a family business, veteran Vince Russo believes McMahon was never actually 'a mark' for wrestling itself.

Speaking on Sportskeeda's The Wrestling Outlaws, Russo claimed that Vince McMahon went into wrestling because he was born into it.

"Is Vince really a mark for wrestling? Or is he a mark for running a successful business? I think it's more that than anything. Making the business bigger. For the business, for the business... I just think he was born into wrestling. I really believe that. I don't think Vince is this over-the-top huge wrestling mark. I believe he was a huge mark for his company and the WWE and its success," the veteran said. [5:28 onwards]

The WWE veteran recently talked about Vince McMahon's Netflix docuseries

According to Vince Russo, some of McMahon's comments about himself in the Netflix Docuseries did not quite age well.

Speaking on Writing with Russo, the WWE veteran recalled how Vince McMahon had bragged about his sexual prowess in the series. He said:

"Vince said some things. You gotta keep in mind man Vince was interviewed before the allegations and he said some things I bet he probably regrets and would have never said after the allegations. Talking about his sexual prowess and his sexual appetite, and you know stuff like that. So you know, if anybody implicated Vince McMahon, it was Vince McMahon," Russo said.
