Former WWE head writer Vince Russo recently spoke about Vince McMahon bagging a new TV deal. McMahon was the chairman and CEO of WWE and made the company a global force in sports entertainment.
Mr. McMahon stepped away from the public spotlight after a lawsuit by former WWE employee Janel Grant. It accused the 79-year-old of sexual harassment and trafficking. Since then, Vince has been trying to fight off the charges and prove his innocence.
This week on Legion of RAW, Russo explained that Vince McMahon could venture into the wrestling business again if he partnered with Shane McMahon and advertised Brock Lesnar as their major attraction. The former writer felt any network would offer them a TV deal if those three came together and started a new promotion.
"Bro, I'm telling you, if you go to a network with Vince McMahon, Brock Lesnar, and Shane McMahon, you're getting a deal. You're getting a deal, bro." [From 14:15 onwards]
McMahon is still under investigation for the Janel Grant accusations. The former CEO has claimed innocence and said he would fight the allegations.
It will be interesting to see if Mr. McMahon can settle this matter and return to doing business soon.
