The go-home episode of WWE RAW before the Crown Jewel 2024 Premium Live Event revolved around building the angles for the upcoming Saudi Arabia show. However, according to Vince Russo, there might have also been a few unwanted elements on the show.

WWE RAW expectedly kicked off with The Bloodline Saga as The Usos delivered promos before engaging in a brawl with Solo Sikoa and his faction.

The night's first match saw Sheamus take on Ludwig Kaiser in a singles match and Vince Russo could not understand why the bout was booked in the first place.

While running down the show on Sportskeeda Wrestling's Legion of RAW podcast, Russo admitted that Kaiser vs. Sheamus was not a match that excited anybody. The podcast's host, Dr. Chris Featherstone, speculated if either The Celtic Warrior or Kaiser had fallen out of favor with the creative team, but Russo was not sure of it.

However, the former WWE head writer did not feel anybody would be tuning in to watch a one-on-one match between Sheamus and Kaiser:

"Then we had a Kaiser/Sheamus match, like who is watching this? I have no idea. Which one? Who knows man? (on whether they are in the 'doghouse')." [From 57:30 onwards]

Sheamus and Ludwig Kaiser have wrestled each other many times in recent weeks, and the former WWE Champion picked up a win in their latest outing. The latest episode of RAW might have marked the final time they meet inside the ring, at least, for now.
