Winning the world championship, not just in WWE, but in any company is a matter of great pride. During the latest edition of Legion of RAW, Vince Russo recalled Triple H's first world title win happening before his exit.

Vince Russo was a pivotal member of the Attitude Era creative team that made history during the Monday Night Wars. Russo helped shape the storylines of various megastars of that era but interestingly enough, departed the promotion shortly before Triple H's ascension as world champion.

The Cerebral Assassin won the World Heavyweight Championship for the first time in 1999 and Vince Russo admitted he would have also booked Triple H to achieve the accolade had he still been in the writing team.

Vince Russo explained that by 1999, Triple H had done enough to deserve a run with the top prize.

Charlotte Flair to return and wrestle a CURRENT CHAMPION?

"I left in the September of 99. What? In him winning the title? If I was there, I'd have written it that way. Just that it was his time. You just know when it's somebody's time. When you're doing this from week to week, you just know it was somebody's time." [From 30:00 onwards]

Vince Russo likened Triple H's well-deserved title victory to Chelsea Green recently becoming the inaugural women's WWE United States Champion, which he also believed came to fruition because of the talent working hard for a considerable period.

Consistency getting rewarded in pro wrestling is always a good sign and Triple H is seemingly continuing that tradition in WWE.
