WWE Superstar Alexa Bliss' name recently made waves in the pro wrestling community, after a report surfaced about her impersonator. This prompted wrestling veteran Vince Russo to share a story about his father being scammed as well.
Recently, an elderly man in his 70s was scammed nearly $1 million by someone claiming to be Alexa Bliss. Although the victim's son tried to explain things to him, it apparently did not convince him and he even took money from his granddaughter's college funds.
While speaking about the incident on Sportskeeda Wrestling's The Wrestling Outlaws podcast, Vince Russo recalled how his father had been scammed as well. He stated:
"That's sad bro, especially the elderly. Bro, my father's been phone scammed. My father's 93, he has been phone scammed. You know when they start, when you are old and they start fast talking you, their hands are in and out of your wallet, bro, before you even know it." [5:29 onwards]

Former WWE Superstar EC3 also commented on the topic
While Vince Russo is sympathetic towards the victim, former WWE Superstar EC3 believes he is partially to blame as well.
While speaking on the same episode of Sportskeeda Wrestling's The Wrestling Outlaws podcast, the 41-year-old talked about the incident and stated that it was unfortunate. He said:
"If someone is stupid enough to give you money, take it because if you don't, someone else will. I mean so obviously, over 625 million dollars of people falling for these scams, it's sad. It's unfortunate, but how much empathy can you give someone when this, like you fall for it, and that's just like, unfortunately... I don't know." [3:52 onwards]
Fans will now have to stay tuned to see when Alexa Bliss returns to WWE.
