Vince Russo is concerned about a big name's recent WWE return. At 58 years old, the legend is in a different stage of her life, and the road gets tougher as you get older, according to Russo.

On the latest episode of Sportskeeda's The Wrestling Outlaws, host Dr. Chris Featherstone briefly touched upon the topic of Samantha Irvin leaving WWE and Lilian Garcia coming in as her replacement. He pointed out to Vince Russo and EC3 that Garcia was in a different stage of her life, busy with her podcast and other things, while also mentioning that she was now a deeply religious woman.

Vince Russo said he loved Lilian Garcia and considered her a pro. He felt that life on the road with WWE could be tough for the 58-year-old ring announcer unless she was specifically assigned to weekly episodes of RAW and nothing else.

"She [Lilian Garcia] is a pro, no doubt about it, bro. It's hard for me because when I saw her going back [to WWE] (...) I think she's 58 now. Bro, the road ain't easy when you get older man. It's just not easy. And that's the first thing I think about. But maybe if she's just doing RAW it won't be that bad. But the older you get, the tougher it is to be on the road." (1:58 - 2:36)

Vince Russo explained WWE's changed philosophy on championships

The ex-WWE writer previously explained how the approach to crowning champions had drastically changed compared to the time when he was with the company in the late 1990s.

On an episode of Sportskeeda Wrestling's Writing with Russo, Vince Russo said WWE previously booked stars to win titles based on their drawing power since the business was house show-driven. He referred specifically to The Motor City Machine Guns' shocking tag team title win soon after their signing while explaining the promotion's new approach.

"Bro, that is the way it was. You put the title and the belt on the person you thought was gonna put the bu**s in the seats. You know, the person who was going to carry the promotion. Because back then, bro, it was all house show-driven. You had to make money at the house shows. So that is why you know, it is a big deal to put it on one guy because you are gonna build a house on that one guy." [2:10 onwards]

WWE seems to be focusing on more lucrative broadcast deals, which generally tends to translate to an increasing number of stadium shows. Right now, they're arguably firing on all cylinders.
