The WWE Universe brings packed houses of all types, from the raucous masses of WrestleMania events to the extreme crowds of South Philadelphia. Fan signs are a big part of the in-crowd spectacle, and WWE fans are known to troll and celebrate superstars with their homemade posters. Wade Barrett has just issued a shameless response to one recent sign from last night's RAW crowd.

The British Bullhammer has had an interesting relationship with WWE fans over the years. Even as a full-fledged heel, the UK grappler seemed to be a fan favorite, and his engaging Bad News Barrett gimmick contributed to his popularity. Since returning as a commentator in 2020, Barrett has often been seen interacting with fans during the RAW show and at pre-show panels during PLEs.

Barrett was recently trolled by a fan on RAW, who publicly accused him of committing a heinous crime. The man alleged that the five-time Intercontinental Champion wears socks in the shower and was seen laughing during a live episode of the red brand. Barrett took to X/Twitter to jokingly respond, labeling the accusation as fake news.

"FAKE NEWS. I almost always go sock-free in the shower, unless it's really cold. #WWERaw," Wade Barrett wrote in response to the fan.

A top AEW star just called one of his colleagues 'spoiled' and 'narcissistic' HERE.

Barrett began his career at age 21 in 2004. He joined World Wrestling Entertainment in 2007 under a developmental contract. He was released in May 2016 and brought back in August 2020 as a commentator and analyst. The former Nexus leader has not wrestled for another promotion since then.

Wade Barrett's WWE status update

World Wrestling Entertainment's flagship TV show, RAW, will premiere on Netflix next week. Sources have reported, and the company has confirmed, that the big jump will bring significant changes.

The RAW commentary team will change once again next week. Pat McAfee will return to full-time work to call the flagship show with Michael Cole each week. Wade Barrett and Joe Tessitore currently call RAW every week. Following next week's debut, the Netflix YouTube channel will air a special post-show featuring Barrett, Tessitore, and Big E as hosts.

According to a recent report, the SmackDown commentary team is still up in the air. There's talk that Tessitore and Corey Graves will call blue brand action each week, while Barrett may return to NXT on Tuesdays. Booker T and Vic Joseph currently call the company's third brand.
