WWE is set to host one of its biggest episodes of SmackDown in Madison Square Garden with several notable names in the house. Recently, multi-time women's champion Asuka posted a video after her knee surgery.

Earlier this year, Asuka was one-half of the Women's Tag Team Champions for the fourth time in her career. She suddenly went on a hiatus in May 2024. While much was not revealed then, the former NXT Women's Champion eventually announced that she underwent knee surgery. The Empress of Tomorrow also backed out from the Queen of the Ring tournament.

Today, on the YouTube channel Kana Chan TV, a video revealed Asuka has resumed training. While the nature of her injury remains unclear, it looks like the nine-time WWE champion is getting ready for in-ring action.

WWE Hall of Famer was seemingly unhappy with Asuka creating her undefeated streak

Bill Goldberg has not appeared for the Stamford-based promotion since his submission defeat to Roman Reigns in 2022. However, the WWE Hall of Famer has not shied away from talking about his experiences with the company.

In an interview with Tim Green - Nothing Left Unsaid, the two-time Universal Champion opened up about Asuka breaking his undefeated streak in the promotion.

"Well, a girl beat my winning streak... beat my undefeated streak. Yeah, I can't even remember. Asuka is her name; some Japanese girl. They touted her as being the one to have the longest winning streak, and it just so happened that it culminated when I got there, right? And then, it just so happened that every single wrestler uses the spear in their moves, right? Pretty ironic that happened when I got there, right? That's how they do," Goldberg said.

The star hasn't returned to the Stamford-based promotion under Triple H's regime. Meanwhile, there's no confirmed timeline for Asuka's eventual return to the ring post-surgery.
