Bron Breakker has run wild through WWE RAW since officially debuting earlier this year. With the Netflix era launching in less than two weeks, the second-generational superstar is moving forward as a fighting champion, dominating all challengers. However, the former football standout may have met his match in a real dog at Madison Square Garden this week.
RAW's reigning Intercontinental Champion debuted at The World's Most Famous Arena on Thursday in New York City. The third bout saw Breakker retain over Sami Zayn in a Two Out of Three Falls match. The Great Liberator landed the first fall to "Sami Uso" chants, but Breakker intercepted a Helluva Kick with a Spear for the second fall. The champion stayed off the challenger as he tried to recover, and finally nailed a big Spear in mid-air for the pin to retain in around twelve minutes.
The Dog of World Wrestling Entertainment seemed to be shaken a bit by a canine member of the WWE Universe at The Garden on Thursday night. The official account on X shared footage of Breakker, who enters to dogs barking in his theme song, taunting a fan who had his four-legged friend on his lap. Breakker caught a mouthful of barks after telling the pup how ugly it was.
"@bronbreakkerwwe had the dogs barking (literally) last night at #WWEMSG! [dog emoji] [laughing tears of joy emoji] @TheGarden," they wrote with the video below.
While this was Breakker's first-ever MSG match, Thursday's show marked the eighth appearance for Zayn at The Garden.
Bron Breakker set for WWE RAW on Netflix
World Wrestling Entertainment is less than two weeks from presenting the first-ever episode of RAW on Netflix. The company's flagship show is moving to the streaming giant as part of a new 10-year deal worth more than $5 billion.
Bron Breakker is among the red brand superstars advertised for the RAW Netflix premiere on January 6 at the Intuit Dome in Los Angeles. Breakker took to X to hype up the premiere.
"The dogs are barking #WWERaw on @netflix January 6th!!" Bron Breakker wrote with the vignette below.
Breakker last retained his title over Ludwig Kaiser on the December 16 episode of RAW. The son of Rick Steiner dethroned Jey Uso of the Intercontinental Championship on October 21 and has just passed sixty-seven days in his second reign with the title.
