Tension between Kevin Owens and Cody Rhodes reached its peak at Bad Blood 2024. Following the show, The Prizefighter turned on The American Nightmare and attacked him in the parking lot.
WWE officials were not happy with The Prizefighter’s actions. Consequently, the star was fined and suspended for attacking Cody Rhodes. On the latest episode of SmackDown, Kevin entered the ring despite his suspension to explain his side of the story. But, his microphone was cut within a short time. He then grabbed Corey Graves’ microphone at the announce desk and he said he didn't turn his back on Rhodes; rather, The American Nightmare was the one who backstabbed him.

Randy Orton came out to settle things between the former friends. While doing so, KO mistakenly hit The Viper, angering him and he elbowed The Prizefighter in the face. In the end, Randy told Rhodes he would take care of things. But this effort backfired on him as the backstage discussion escalated into KO's assault on his former tag partner.
The Takedown on SI has now obtained security footage from last week’s SmackDown. In the surveillance footage, fans can see Kevin Owens throwing punches at Orton’s head when he turns around after a brief argument with him. The Prizefighter continued thrashing The Viper until security interfered.

Will Kevin Owens face Cody Rhodes at Crown Jewel 2024
Cody Rhodes was heartbroken and sought revenge on Kevin Owens, who attacked him after Bad Blood 2024. KO then attacked Randy Orton on the latest episode of the blue brand, crossing all lines. The American Nightmare was eager to punish The Prizefighter for his actions.
At Bad Blood 2024, Triple H announced that at the Saudi show, the world champions of both brands would take part in a Title-vs.-Title clash, and the winner of the match would be crowned the new Crown Jewel Champion. For now, Kevin Owens will be facing suspension, and The American Nightmare will focus on facing Gunther.
