[WATCH] What happened with Roman Reigns after WWE SmackDown went off-air?

Roman Reigns attacked LA Knight with a thunderous Spear during the final moments of tonight's SmackDown.

Reigns made his big return to this week's SmackDown season premiere. After LA Knight picked up a big win over Solo Sikoa in the main event, Reigns came out of nowhere and hit a Spear on the victor. The show went off the air as Reigns stood tall over Knight.

After the cameras stopped rolling, Roman Reigns kept showing off his title belt, while the capacity crowd collectively booed him. He then intimidated the referee who attempted to enter the ring to provide assistance to Knight. Reigns looked quite annoyed over the crowd booing him, before heading to the back with Paul Heyman.

Reigns has been the Undisputed WWE Universal Champion for well over a year at this point. He has beaten some of the biggest names in the business during this period. Reigns didn't hold back while addressing Knight on SmackDown. Check out an excerpt from his promo below:

“All right. I’m very proud of ya. I get you a couple months and they say your name now,” Reigns noted. “But let’s be honest here. Over 11-hundred days as champ, I’ve done things that you would never imagine in this business. What makes you think you could ever stand in the ring with me? Honestly I mean, who the h*ll do you think you are, standing in my ring right now?” [H/T Clutch Points]

By the time SmackDown came to a close, it was Reigns who had the last laugh. Knight certainly won't be thrilled with how things turned out tonight and will be looking to exact revenge on The Tribal Chief.
