WWE SmackDown this week featured two matches from the women's division. Chelsea Green defended her Women's United States Championship against Michin. Meanwhile, Bayley locked horns with Bianca Belair, Naomi, and Nia Jax in a Fatal Four-Way Match for a shot at Tiffany Stratton's WWE Women's Title.
While reviewing the Fatal Four-Way Match on the latest edition of BroDown on Backstage Pass, Vince Russo called out the participants for "setting up every freaking spot," saying Bret Hart didn't do that.
"You just see them setting up every spot. How so many times are we going to see Nia Jax standing in the middle of the ring with her head down like that? How many times are we going to see that? Did you ever see that with Bret Hart? You ever see Bret Hart do this for three seconds? I mean, how you see them set up every single spot to spot to spot? Oh my God, bro!" he said.
While Russo praised the participants for their hard work on WWE SmackDown, he said it was the responsibility of producers and agents to tell performers when it comes to setting up spots.

"Now, let me say this, Mac. I will let me put it over. This was a very, very long match, and these girls worked their b*tts off. No question about it. They all worked very, very hard. But these agents have to tell them. We can see you guys setting up every freaking spot. And Mac, this was another first for me. Naomi got knocked out by a hair braid. What? I never seen my ponytail do that," he added. [From 36:11 onwards]
Elsewhere on the podcast, Russo highlighted a major issue with the WWE Women's Division.
Bayley won the Fatal Four-Way Match and will battle The Buff Barbie for the WWE Women's Championship on next week's SmackDown. It will be interesting to see how Stratton fares in her first defense.
