WWE RAW is set to move to Netflix in January 2025. While fans are excited about the transition, CM Punk clarified a few things and gave the WWE Universe a reality check.
Earlier this year, it was announced that several shows would be switching their networks. NXT is set to move to The CW on October 1, while Friday Night SmackDown has already returned to The USA Network.
However, WWE RAW is set to make the biggest jump. The flagship show will premiere on Netflix on January 6, 2025. Meanwhile, in an interview with The Hot Tag on 103.5 FM, The Best in The World said that while the company would push the envelope ''a little bit,'' fans shouldn't expect the product to be in the mold of The Attitude Era.
"I don't think you're going to see much difference than what it is now. I think we're pushing boundaries a little bit here and there. I just want to kind of temper people's expectations because I think there's a section of the fan base that's like, 'Oh, they're going to go to Netflix. There's going to be full frontal and swearing!' That's absolutely not the case. I think we've learned from The Attitude Era that you can only do that for so long before you try to outdo yourself every week, and it just becomes bad television. I think every once and again you can push the envelope," Punk said.

He added:
"I think there's still going to be commercials on Netflix; I'm not 100% sure about that. I think we might be able to fudge it so it's not during matches. So, you're going to see, maybe, some play with the format of the show. I'm not 100% sure on all that. But content-wise, I don't think you're going to see, as much as Rhea Ripley wants to come out there and talk like an Aussie and drop a C word here and there. I don't think you're going to see that.'' CM Punk is set to compete at WWE Bad Blood
Earlier this year, The Second City Saint started his feud with Drew McIntyre after he got injured in the Men's Royal Rumble Match. While Punk was consigned to the bench for the next eight months, he left no stone unturned in making The Scottish Warrior's life hell.
Later, CM Punk was cleared to compete. He locked horns with The Scottish Psychopath at SummerSlam. After losing to Drew McIntyre in Ohio, The Straight Edge Star scored a win in a Strap Match at WWE Bash in Berlin.
The bitter rivals are set to complete their trilogy inside Hell in a Cell at the Bad Blood Premium Live Event in Atlanta next month.
It will be interesting to see if The Straight Edge Superstar earns another win over Drew McIntyre on October 5.
