WWE Survivor Series: WarGames proved to be a very entertaining PLE this year, with several interesting matches. However, a veteran thinks a storyline from the premium live event could backfire if continued. The one involving LA Knight and Shinsuke Nakamura.
Knight and Nakamura went toe-to-toe at the PLE, with the United States Championship on the line. While LA Knight seemed to be gaining the upper hand at the start of the match, Shinsuke was able to hold his own and eventually take down his fancied opponent. This led to the 42-year-old losing his United States Championship, with his reign ending at 119 days. And now wrestling veteran Dutch Mantell has had his say in the matter.
While the match itself was solid, Mantell thinks the two stars do not have much chemistry together and that the promotion was making a mistake in putting the two together. The veteran stated on Sportskeeda Wrestling's SmackTalk that the storyline does not interest him much, even if it continues in the following weeks.
"I am not real excited about the match because I don't think they have good chemistry together, but we will see," he said. [4:46 onwards]

WWE veteran talks about the end of the match between LA Knight and Shinsuke Nakamura
According to Dutch Mantell, WWE had no choice but to have LA Knight take the loss.
Speaking on the same episode of Sportskeeda Wrestling's SmackTalk, the veteran explained why Shinsuke Nakamura had to win the match. He felt WWE did the right thing in terms of storyline, despite not having too much interest in it himself.
"That was the only thing they could have done with LA Knight and Nakamura. Because hey if he [LA Knight] would have won, what for LA Knight then? Now he has gotta have another opponent. And Nakamura, he lost, what's for him? Where he gotta go? They did it right, and now let's see where it leads," he said. [From 04:26 onwards]
For now, it remains to be seen what is next for LA Knight and Shinsuke Nakamura down the line in WWE.
