WWE star Wes Lee shocked everyone by turning on his pro wrestling brothers of MSK last week. This sudden heel turn by the popular babyface came after he and Zachary Wentz lost the NXT Tag Team Championship match against Nathan Frazer and Axiom. This week, Lee finally came up with an explanation for his actions.
Lee was approached for a backstage interview as soon as he entered the building. The former NXT North American Champion didn't seem very interested in speaking about the matter. However, he shed light on his motives with a one-line explanation.
“Look, this is time for me to start taking what's mine,” said Lee.

These words didn’t specifically reveal what was going on in his mind. But, his later actions proved that the MSK wasn’t the primary target on his hit list. The 29-year-old later launched a vicious sneak attack on TNA star Joe Hendry.
Hendry was singing his theme song along with the fans and getting on the nerves of NXT Champion Ethan Page. However, the merry mood in the arena was dismissed when Lee silenced Hendry, attacking the latter from behind.
Notably, the TNA star was previously speaking about winning the NXT Championship from Ethan Page. Hence, there is a possibility that Wes Lee may also have his eyes on the top gold on All Ego’s shoulder. It would be interesting to see how the newly turned heel navigates himself from here on.
