At NXT Deadline, he had the chance to take his career to the next level by competing in the Iron Survivor Challenge match. However, he came up short but put on an impressive performance. Following the match, Evans seemed in good spirits but was confronted by Wes Lee. They got into a physical altercation, which led to a match being set up for tonight.

Tonight on NXT, the former North American Champion faced off against Je'Von Evans in an exhilarating contest. In the end, Evans came out on top. Following the match, Lee couldn't even stand up straight due to the hard-hitting action in the bout.
