The Bloodline ruled WWE SmackDown while Roman Reigns was on his post-WrestleMania hiatus, with Solo Sikoa leading the stable. One of the key angles saw him, Tama Tonga, Tonga Loa, and Jacob Fatu destroy Paul Heyman. New insight into the segment has just been revealed following Reigns' return.

WWE Money in the Bank was headlined by The Bloodline, defeating Cody Rhodes, Randy Orton, and Kevin Owens. The lead-up to the PLE saw The Bloodline destroy The Wiseman on the June 28 SmackDown from Madison Square Garden. After Heyman refused to acknowledge Solo as his Tribal Chief over Reigns, the 46-year industry veteran was hit with a Samoan Spike by Solo, then a top rope headbutt from Fatu. Heyman was triple-powerbombed through the announce table to end the show.

The Special Counsel appeared at the inaugural Fanatics Fest NYC on Saturday for a live Notsam Wrestling interview with Sam Roberts. He was asked why he was booked to be taken out by Solo's Bloodline.

Heyman said the attack had to be done as it was the exclamation point of what Sikoa's Bloodline was doing. He added that at some point, if Solo was to become Tribal Chief with Tama Tonga as his right-hand man and Fatu as the enforcer, then The Wiseman had to be taken out as the last link to Roman and the original Bloodline.

"So, if you don’t take me out, then you still have this extension of what the original Bloodline was, but for Solo to become The Dictator of the Island of Relevancy, for Solo to take over as the Tribal Chief, at some point, The Wiseman has to go, and if you don’t take me out, then it’s just an extension. So, there’s no better place for them to make their move than in Madison Square Garden, especially a week after Jacob Fatu debuted, and especially coming off all the momentum of his debut, and five weeks before SummerSlam, where Solo is going to challenge Cody Rhodes for the Undisputed Title," Paul Heyman said. Heyman continued:

"This was, in hindsight, the absolute perfect moment for them to make their move, and if they’re going to make their move, you can’t half a** it... you can’t just thumb me in the throat and drop me. If you're going to go, you go big. If you don't go big, we don't belong on the main stage at Madison Square Garden." [From 13:45 to 14:07]

Now that Roman is back, he is expected to return to the storylines soon, and creative plans are being made to benefit two of the heels.

The WWE Universe chooses Bloodline leader

WWE officials are expected to hold the first-ever singles match between Solo Sikoa and Roman Reigns soon. The cousins will likely compete for control of The Bloodline or the title of Tribal Chief.

The official WWE on FOX account on X recently asked fans to vote for who they acknowledge as Tribal Chief - Solo or Roman. The fans overwhelmingly chose the former WWE Universal Champion instead of his younger cousin.

Reigns returned at SummerSlam to destroy Solo and his henchmen. The 39-year-old former Shield member returned to SmackDown days later and continued the assault. However, last Friday's SmackDown ended with Solo's Bloodline standing tall over Roman after a beatdown.
