WWE Superstar John Cena's Farewell Tour officially kicked off with his appearance on RAW's Netflix premiere. Following the show, backstage interviewer Cathy Kelley shared her thoughts on whether The Franchise Player would capture a world title for a record-breaking 17th time.
On the January 6, 2025, edition of red brand on Netflix, Cena heartbreakingly stated that he might not become a world champion during his Retirement Tour because he didn't have the right to cut the line and secure a shot at a world title. However, later in his promo, The Face That Runs The Place declared that he would not only participate in the upcoming Men's Royal Rumble Match but also win the multi-man gimmick contest.
During an appearance on the Lightweights Podcast with Joe Vulpis, Cathy Kelley was asked if the 47-year-old megastar would win another world title during his final run in WWE. The RAW personality speculated that John Cena, with his meticulous career planning, might possess unique strategies for capturing a record-breaking 17th World Championship that others have not yet envisioned.
"I think potentially, he [John Cena] is someone that [sic] puts so much thought into his career, and what he does and is so intentional about everything, especially when it comes to the world of wrestling. So, I feel like, he's probably thought of things that we can't even fathom," Kelley said. [From 26:54 to 27:10]
