With Goldberg yet to get his long-desired retirement match, a current World Champion believes only one WWE Superstar is the logical choice.
Da Man is certainly a legend in the pro wrestling world and thus has a responsibility to push another superstar in his last match, according to EC3. The current NWA Worlds Heavyweight Champion believes that Gunther would be the perfect person to get the rub on Goldberg's way out, especially considering how he has fared in his Intercontinental reign so far.
Gunther's impressive technical prowess in the ring has the effect of making his opponent seem powerful as well. As such, he could work well with Goldberg, who is likely to have some ring rust after being inactive in the ring.
Speaking on Sportskeeda's The Wrestling Outlaws, EC3 explained why Gunther could give Goldberg a proper sendoff.
"Gunther. I mean he has been built as organically as tough as nails, that maybe you know. If you have created, which I think they have, a real life Rocky villain, he needs scalps to go along with him... Maybe that's Goldberg's final send-off." [2:40 onwards]

Another WWE veteran has talked about Goldberg's comments
Da Man's angry rant against Vince McMahon has sparked quite a conversation, but Dutch Mantell does not seem to care for it.
Speaking on his podcast, Story Time with Dutch Mantell, the WWE veteran stated that Goldberg's demands for his 'vanity project' did not matter much in Vince McMahon's eyes, who simply did what he had to do to make the legend put over Roman Reigns:
"Guess what, nobody gives a s**t. That was strictly a Goldberg vanity project that he wanted, which I don't blame him for having. But, Vince gave...gave what he needed to give to get him to appear." [1:26-1:46]
As of now, it remains to be seen what the future holds for the WWE legend.
