Former WWE writer Vince Russo has reviewed the latest episode of RAW and claimed that the Draft is now obsolete. Several SmackDown stars were on RAW this week, sparking a debate among viewers.
During this week's RAW, SmackDown star Randy Orton showed up to challenge Gunther for a World Heavyweight Championship match at Bash in Berlin. Later in the night, the duo of Austin Theory and Grayson Waller faced off against The Miz and R-Truth in a special inter-brand tag team matchup.
On Sportskeeda Wrestling's Legion of RAW, Russo blasted WWE and its fans for going nowhere with the Draft. He detailed that the creative couldn't hold on to their rosters for a few months. The wrestling veteran mentioned that next year the company would once again get fans excited about the Draft only to dismiss the new rosters in no time.
"I swear to God. This is where the WWE Universe gets me sick to my stomach. There is no freaking brand split. There is no brand split. Anybody can be on whatever show they want. And guess what? When it's gonna come time to [have] the Draft, they're gonna sucker you right in again. You're gonna get all excited about the Draft like you always do and a month later, anybody can go on any show." RAW general manager Adam Pearce hinted that he got A-Town Down Under on the red show as part of a special trade. It will be interesting to see whether there are more inter-brand matches lined up for the coming weeks.
