Former WWE head writer Vince Russo took issue with Jey Uso's promo segment on the latest episode of RAW. The reigning Intercontinental Champion kicked off the show this week.

Jey kicked off the latest edition of RAW this week, walking to the arena through the crowd. He got on the microphone and then delivered a passionate promo about transitioning from a tag team star to a singles champion.

While speaking on Sportskeeda Wrestling's Legion of RAW podcast, Russo pointed out that it was well over eleven minutes before Jey said anything. The former WWE head writer claimed that showing The Yeet Master walking through the audience was a waste of time. He recalled the Attitude Era when the creative team did not squander even a second of TV time.

"Before Jey Uso said one word, how much time do you think elapsed in the show? Eleven minutes and thirty seconds. Eleven minutes of total wasted air time. Eleven minutes and thirty seconds before Jey Uso said one word, bro. Un-freaking- believable. Like seriously, do they expect me to sit there eleven minutes and thirty seconds? Do they really think I'm sitting eleven minutes and thirty seconds watching this?" Vince Russo said. [5:12 - 6:06]

Halfway through the promo, Jey Uso was confronted by Bron Breakker. The 26-year-old star claimed that The Yeet Master was the better man that night and rightly won the prestigious Intercontinental Championship. The two men shook hands before Bron left the ring.
