Wrestling veteran slams WWE's handling of Gunther after RAW; questions why he's giving so much (Exclusive)

Former WWE head writer Vince Russo was confused with World Heavyweight Champion Gunther's booking on RAW this week. The star faced off against Dominik Mysterio in a singles match.

The Ring General was backstage when he was confronted by a furious Finn Balor asking him for a title opportunity. The champ claimed that 'Dirty' Dom was more deserving and made a match between him and The Judgment Day member official.

During the latest edition of Sportskeeda Wrestling's Legion of RAW episode, Russo questioned why the Ring General was selling Dom's offense. He pointed out that Mysterio had lost so many matches in the past and was actually no match for him.

"Bro, what they did with Gunther tonight was confusing. Why is he giving Dom? Dominik Mysterio has lost to everybody. Why is Gunther giving him so much, man?" [From 21: 39 onwards]

The veteran writer felt it hurt the champ's credibility to make it seem like Dominik had a chance against him.

The Ring General won the match with a vicious Powerbomb on his opponent. However, he didn't have a chance to celebrate as Finn Balor blindsided him.

Balor hit three Coup de Grace on the champ, leaving him writhing in pain. Later, Adam Pearce announced that the two would be facing each other at Saturday Night's Main Event for the World Heavyweight Championship later this month.
