Last night at WWE Money in the Bank, John Cena announced his intention to retire from in-ring competition next year. An analyst in the promotion suggested that the Leader of the Cenation squares off against an unexpected RAW superstar before he hangs up his boots.
At the premium live event, Cena made a surprise appearance to announce that he would retire from in-ring competition in 2025. As many speculated about who he might share the ring with during his final run, WWE analyst Sam Roberts suggested on his Notsam Wrestling podcast that the 47-year-old fights The Judgment Day's Dominik Mysterio.
Roberts even claimed Cena should lose to Mysterio as he proposed the idea to his WWE colleague Megan Morant. His suggestion left the latter in shock:

"How about this, John Cena versus Dominik Mysterio? Come on, come on, what are we printing money?! I would love to see it and I think probably John Cena takes the L on that one. I think so. I think so," he said. [From 25:22 to 25:35]

Sam Roberts suggested a few other WWE stars as potential opponents for John Cena
During the same episode of the Notsam Wrestling podcast, Sam Roberts suggested other names as potential opponents for the 16-time world champion. He proposed that John Cena could have one more match against The Rock. The two megastars previously exchanged victories at WrestleMania 28 and 29.
The analyst also claimed the 47-year-old could fight another former rival, CM Punk, or even The Ring General Gunther:
"We could do another Cena/Rock. We could do another Cena/Punk. We could do Cena/Gunther," he said.
Roberts also suggested that Cena could win his 17th world championship before retiring from in-ring competition. It would be interesting to see if any of his suggestions come to fruition.
