WWE Superstar Ethan Page won the NXT Championship via a big stroke of luck at Heatwave. As the new champ, All Ego showcased that he could also be a worthy titleholder by winning his first defense. However, his celebration ended as he was virtually pinned immediately after his victory.
Ethan Page competed against Dante Chen on the July 16, 2024 episode of NXT. The challenger had come close to clinching the title with two counts. However, he fell to the Ego’s Edge and lost the match. Soon after, Page’s nemesis, Oro Mensah, entered the ring to attack him.
Ethan Page neutralized Mensah as the two started their brawl. However, as he left the WWE arena, the Meta-Four member again put him in the ring. Soon after, it was lights out for All Ego as Mensah hit his finisher and made a three-count to the spectators.
A former WWE writer just went after JBL for his comments HERE
Not long ago, Page argued with General Manager Ava about keeping Mensah away so that he could defend his title with honor and dignity. He also said that while the Oro made the work environment unsafe, he couldn’t pin him. Thus, the Meta-Four member has shown that he can easily do it whenever he wants.
Ethan Page expresses his anger in a backstage WWE segment
Moments after Oro Mensah neutralized Ethan Page, he returned to the locker room.
As cameras followed him for a backstage segment, Page yelled he wasn’t pinned.
All Ego had just fought a match against Dante Chen and was depleted. However, previous instances of his encounter with Mensah have shown the Meta-Four member as the more dominant wrestler.
Thus, Ethan Page now has two WWE Superstars to worry about as Trick Williams may soon secure an NXT Championship rematch.
