Tony D'Angelo has been one of the top stars in NXT for a long time. He has competed in some of the biggest matches on the brand. He finally realized his true potential when he defeated Oba Femi for the North American Championship on the October 8 episode of WWE NXT.
Since then, he has defended his title against Nunzio on the November 6 episode of WWE NXT. Shawn Spears has tried to get Tony's attention for the past few weeks, but every time, he has been interrupted by something more important. Hence, he was done waiting and finally confronted The Don last week in the latter's restaurant about a North American Championship match for Brooks Jensen.

Tonight, Tony faced off against Brooks in a non-title match. Although Brooks brought the fight to the North American Champion, The Don emerged victorious. Following the match, Shawn Spears offered a handshake to Tony, and as the latter went to shake his hand, Brooks attacked him from behind.
It will be interesting to see if Tony D'Angelo offers Brooks Jensen a title match after he beats him tonight.

If ever given a chance to change a storyline, Sunil would have booked Roman Reigns to end The Undertaker’s WrestleMania streak instead of Brock Lesnar. According to him, The Tribal Chief needed the victory more than Brock Lesnar, as the latter was already an established performer when he defeated ‘Taker. He would’ve also made that as Taker’s final match.
