WWE destroyed Drew McIntyre's return on Monday Night RAW, according to veteran wrestling writer (Exclusive)

WWE star Drew McIntyre shocked the world as he returned to Monday Night RAW this week. Former head writer for the company, Vince Russo, recently spoke about the surprising return.

Drew has not been seen on the red brand since his brutal Hell in a Cell match against CM Punk at Bad Blood. He showed up during the final segment of the show and laid out Sami Zayn with a brutal Claymore.

This week on Sportskeeda Wrestling's Legion of RAW, Russo discussed the creative direction for Drew. He hoped WWE wouldn't have him going after everyone who fought alongside the OG Bloodline. He felt Drew McIntyre was the mystery man who attacked Jey before leveling Sami after the main event.

"I hope that's not the storyline. I hope that's not the storyline." He continued, "Are you serious? They are reaching for straws, man. This show was so kabukish man, from top to bottom." [9:47 onwards]

Drew McIntyre hasn't offered up any detailed explanation for his actions yet. However, the star shared a video of himself claiming that everything being said about him was utter nonsense.

It will be interesting to see what the Scottish Warrior has to say next week on Monday Night RAW.
