Wrestling veteran Konnan recently addressed the possibility of seeing a third-generation wrestler join WWE after previously appearing in the Stamford-based company a few years ago. He claimed it could happen, despite her previously being difficult to work with.
The in-ring competitor in question is Tessa Blanchard. Tully Blanchard's daughter and Joe Blanchard's granddaughter had a few matches on NXT in 2016. The following year, she participated in the Mae Young Classic tournament. However, she was eliminated in the first round. The 28-year-old later joined TNA (fka IMPACT Wrestling), where she held the IMPACT Knockouts Championship and the IMPACT World Championship. Nevertheless, she was stripped of the World Title and released in June 2020. Blanchard is currently active in CMLL.
On the Keepin' It 100 podcast, Konnan addressed whether the third-generation star could get another shot in WWE. The company reportedly passed on signing her a few years ago due to "attitude-related issues." The wrestling veteran recalled working with her outside the Stamford-based promotion, claiming she was "difficult to work with." However, he pointed out that she might have matured since:
"I think that if [Tessa Blanchard] stays in shape and she's doing good, and she, from every report I have, she's doing good in Mexico. (...) So, I think, you know, she's done a good job and maybe she's matured and they'll give her another chance. She's still young enough to get another chance," he said. [From 01:19 to 01:46]

Konnan previously addressed why WWE might never sign Tessa Blanchard
Tessa Blanchard was involved in a reported racial slur incident in 2017 in Japan. She also reportedly refused to drop the IMPACT World Championship before the promotion terminated her contract in June 2020.
On an episode of Keepin' It 100 last year, wrestling veteran Konnan claimed that these two reasons may be why WWE might never sign Tessa Blanchard:
"She never admitted it. That was number one. Then again, she shouldn't have said it, racial slur. Number two, if you remember, they put her over a whole bunch of people, guys included. She beat a guy for the world title. Then when they told her to give it back, I think she wanted them to pay her an exorbitant amount of fee or something or she didn't want to lose it or give it back. She did business badly going out."
Tessa Blanchard has previously named Charlotte Flair as one of her dream opponents. It would be interesting to see if the third-generation wrestler would ever share the ring with The Queen in WWE.
