Former tag team champion Rene Dupree recently claimed that WWE is hyping up Jade Cargill, solely for her looks.
Cargill kicked off her wrestling career nearly four years ago. She joined AEW in 2020 and spent about three years there, during which time she held the TBS Championship for a record number of days. However, she recently departed Tony Khan's promotion after her contract expired and joined the Stamford-based promotion.
On a recent episode of his Cafe de Rene podcast, Dupree talked about Vince McMahon's preference for wrestlers with "bodybuilder" physiques and believes that is the main reason for Cargill's big buildup to her debut.

"Vince is all about the look. Why do you think they're giving such hype and such big fanfare to Jade Cargill? We've seen her in the ring. It ain't much. It's because she looks like a f***ing superstar. It's all about the look," he said. [24:32 - 24:47]

Since she arrived in WWE, Jade Cargill has appeared on NXT, SmackDown and Monday Night RAW. The 31-year-old confronted Charlotte Flair on the blue brand and Becky Lynch on the red brand. She even teased challenging The Man for the NXT Women's Championship.
Lynch previously addressed the possibility of facing the former AEW TBS Champion in an interview with the New York Post.
"[Is Jade Cargill someone you followed, and is there some intrigue for a potential match with her or something down the road?] I watch all the products. I think it's great. More women with more platforms. I think she has a lot of work to do when she gets here, but if she is willing to do that, just look at her. She's a star. It's more people for me to get in the ring with and kick their a**es."
