WWE has been making a slow shift to its non-PG TV days. However, while the Stamford-based promotion is taking care to pull its punches, it still faces interference from its broadcasters. This was also seen in the July 1 episode of Monday Night RAW, which prompted a Hall of Famer to call out the USA Network.
Bully Ray called the television network for censoring a segment featuring Chad Gable and The Wyatt Sicks. While Triple H's script didn’t carry any non-PG elements, the excited crowd of Boston started “Holy S***t” chants when Uncle Howdy’s crew arrived.
The USA Network muted the audio to censor these chants, criticizing which Bully Ray added a tweet on X.
“Dear @USANetwork Bleeping out the curses kills the vibe of the segment. I realize you have the best interest of family and children in mind but … HOLY S**T!! Xoxo Uncle Bully #WWERaw @BustedOpenRadio,” he wrote.

Notably, the crowd’s antics had also resulted in some censorship last week. RAW isn’t the only show getting censored, and Friday Night SmackDown has the same problems.
WWE segment forced through censorship after stray crowd gesture
The June 28, 2024, episode of SmackDown saw the Stamford-based promotion hold a grand show at Madison Square Garden.
During one of the Women’s Money in the Bank qualifiers, Nia Jax walked down the ramp to aid her ally Tiffany Stratton. However, FOX had to put up a black screen to censor that segment.
The reason behind it was a fan in the background flipping The Queen of the Ring off as she entered the arena.
At the beginning of 2024, the Stamford-based promotion announced that Monday Night RAW would move to Netflix in 2025. Several fans who wish WWE to be more non-PG will be eagerly looking forward to the shift after another instance of censorship.
