Cody Rhodes has been put on the shelf after a brutal assault from Kevin Owens following their match at Saturday Night's Main Event. The Prizefighter delivered a package piledriver to Rhodes after their match.

Cody Rhodes ended up with a controversial victory in his match against Kevin Owens at Saturday Night's Main Event. The American Nightmare used a steel chair to take down the challenger, which has been called out by millions around the world.

On commentary, WWE Hall of Famer Jesse Ventura called out the champion for 'cheating' to retain his title, which many agreed with. In a recent post on X/Twitter, the legend continued to take shots at the Undisputed WWE Champion. WWE posted a clip of Ventura criticizing Rhodes during his match against Owens and stated that the legend always called it the way he saw it.

Ventura replied to the post stating that he would keep doing the same on the next edition of Saturday Night's Main Event thereby taking a shot at Rhodes for the way the match finished.

Corey Graves deleted his Tweet! More details HERE.

"...and I'll continue calling it as I see it on the next Saturday Night's Main Event! Live from San Antonio, TX on January 25th ,2025," the legend wrote.

When will Cody Rhodes return to WWE?

WWE has started replacing Cody Rhodes in posters of upcoming events after the champion was left injured following Saturday Night's Main Event. Kevin Owens delivered a piledriver to Randy Orton a few weeks ago, which has kept the Viper out of action since then.

With a package piledriver to Rhodes as well, it is uncertain when the champion would return to TV. While The American Nightmare was scheduled to appear during WWE RAW's debut on Netflix, Gunther replaced him on the poster, almost confirming that the champion would be out of action for a long time.

WWE announced that Rhodes was resting at home after being released from the hospital on RAW recently.

Time will now tell what the Stamford-based company has in store for the champion and the status of the Undisputed WWE Championship after Rhodes' injury.
