WWE Hall of Famer explains why he "forgot" to watch Saturday Night's Main Event (Exclusive)

While WWE Saturday Night's Main Event was entertaining for many, a Hall of Famer apparently did not watch it. He recently explained his reasons for forgetting the show was even being aired.

SNME on December 14 had a captivating set of matches on the card, with the ending being an intense bout between Kevin Owens and Cody Rhodes. Despite the exciting show that awaited fans, Hall of Famer Teddy Long apparently forgot the show was even on.

On Sportskeeda's The Wrestling Time Machine hosted by Mac Davis, Teddy was asked about his thoughts on Saturday Night's Main Event. The WWE Hall of Famer had a surprising answer.

"I hate to disappoint you, but I forgot that Saturday Night's Main Event was even on. I swear to God, I am just being a straight-up and honest man. I really did. And plus I was on a signing, too. So I was doing something there too, so I couldn't. I just wasn't able to watch it." [5:13 onwards]

Another veteran had a complaint about WWE Saturday Night's Main Event

While Teddy Long did not watch the show, Bill Apter did. However, the veteran journalist did have his own complaints about it.

Speaking on the same episode of The Wrestling Time Machine, the veteran journalist Bill Apter stated:

"Couple of things that bothered me. The main one which I kept pinging you on Facebook Messenger was the commercials. They have to have them, they were driving me crazy. There are too many commercials. In the main event with Cody Rhodes and Kevin Owens, there was a Target commercial that was about four minutes into the match, when the match was just getting hot (...) It was really annoying to me." [2:37 onwards]

As of now, it remains to be seen what WWE has planned for the coming weeks.
