WWE Hall of Famer Mark Henry has made a major non-wrestling announcement on social media. He recently parted ways with AEW and is currently focusing on other ventures.

Henry signed a contract with WWE after competing in the 1996 Summer Olympics. In 2000, the 53-year-old was sent to the company's then-developmental territory, Ohio Valley Wrestling, to improve his wrestling skills, but he ultimately returned to the main roster in 2002.

Over the next two decades, The World's Strongest Man became one of the biggest names in pro wrestling, winning several titles, including the ECW Championship and the World Heavyweight Championship.

Mark Henry recently took to Instagram to upload a video announcing a new initiative of the US Amateur Weightlifting Foundation for the Olympic weightlifters called Road to Paris.

Henry mentioned that the non-profit was raising funds to support the US Olympic athletes on their journey to Paris.

"Hey everyone. As many of you know, this is Mark Henry. I'm a proud member of the board of the US Amateur Weightlifting Foundation. It's a non-profit. They raise money to support the future of our Olympic weightlifters. I'm very excited to announce our newest initiative, the Road to Paris. We're raising funds to support our Olympic athletes on their journey to Paris for the Olympic games. Join the channel, let's raise some funds and you can win a trip to Paris Olympics. Let's lift these athletes up, they represent our country. Come on now let's get it together," he said.

WWE legend Mark Henry talked about his son's future in professional wrestling

During an edition of the Recap Rewind Relive podcast, Mark Henry said he believed his son Jacob's pro wrestling acumen was up there with many current WWE NXT stars.

The WWE Hall of Famer also mentioned that his son would become an elite professional wrestler if he were to join the business.

"I can tell you right now, I would put his wrestling acumen up there with everybody at the top at NXT. His understanding and knowledge of the force, if you will, for lack of a better term, is on a scale of one to 100, Jacob is probably about 85 in his understanding and knowledge. And that's 18 to turning 19-year-old kid, so when he gets 21, 23 somewhere in there whenever he decides to become a professional wrestler, he's going to be elite."

It will be interesting to see what Mark Henry has planned for his son's potential future in the pro wrestling world.
