A WWE Hall of Famer recently opened up about his match against Eddie Guerrero at WrestleMania 21. Guerrero tragically passed away in 2005 at only 38 years old.
In an interview on Unlikely with Adrian Hernandez, Rey Mysterio reflected on his legendary rivalry with Eddie Guerrero. The two stars once battled for custody of Dominik Mysterio at WWE SummerSlam 2005, but before that, they had a memorable clash at WrestleMania 21.
Mysterio noted that he was grateful that he got to work with Guerrero and added that he learned a lot from the WWE legend.
"Incredibly thankful for the opportunity. Incredibly thankful with Eddie presenting that opportunity because that is what kicked off our rivalry with Dominik, eventually, coming into the picture. But I've always said that the first match of the night is kind of what kicks off the pace. Eddie and I had a banger that night. I enjoyed it very much. It's one of those that stays dear and close to my heart. It was a different level, man. I loved Eddie so much, and I enjoyed being in the ring with him, and I learned so much every single time I had the opportunity to step in there with him," Mysterio said. [H/T: The TakeDown on SI]

Former WWE star named Eddie Guerrero as dream opponent
Wrestling veteran Gangrel recently named Eddie Guerrero as his dream opponent in professional wrestling.
In an exclusive interview with Sportskeeda Wrestling's Bill Apter, the former WWE star was asked about his dream opponents in the wrestling business. Gangrel named Guerrero, Curt Hennig, Johnny Valentine, and Ray Stevens.
"I have so many [laughs]. I can start with Eddie Guerrero! Eddie Guerrero, Curt Hennig. Those are two for sure, right there. Those are definitely two! If I was a little bit older, I would have loved to have worked with Johnny Valentine, if I was in that era, or Ray Stevens, as I loved watching those two guys." [From 10:03 to 10:30]
