Rey Mysterio has been in WWE for over two decades. He instantly became a crowd favorite thanks to his rich wrestling moveset. His 619 is still one of the most iconic finishers ever. A Hall of Famer recently revealed an intriguing story about this move.
The name in question is former WWE Champion John 'Bradshaw' Layfield. JBL and Rey Mysterio had a great rivalry back in the day. The two legends squared off in the ring on multiple occasions. 'Bradshaw' was on the receiving end of the 619 at times. We often see people putting their hands in front of their faces while taking the move. JBL revealed the actual reason behind doing so.
John 'Bradshaw' Layfield recently took to his Twitter account to share an interesting story regarding Rey Mysterio's finisher. While resharing another tweet, the former United States Champion claimed that the Luchador asked him to put his hands up during the 619. Surprisingly, Rey Mysterio was hurting his feet by kicking JBL in the head during the execution of the move.
"Rey asked me to put my hands up on the 619, I thought that was so nice he was worried about me, then I found out it was hurting his feet kicking me in the head," JBL wrote.

John 'Bradshaw' Layfield wants to block WWE legends
Hall of Famer John Bradshaw Layfield recently revealed that he wants to block two WWE legends on social media, Billy Gunn and Al Snow.
JBL complimented the two greats in the most hilarious way possible. He stated that these two wrestlers are getting into better shape with each passing year. But instead of getting motivated by them, Bradshaw feels the urge to block both of them on social media.
"Seeing these guys look absolutely amazing, and getting better each year, doesn’t make me want to go to the gym, it makes me want to block them. @TheRealAlSnow @RealBillyGunn," JBL shared.
