A former manager believes Jacob Fatu's debut at last week's SmackDown might have "scared" a popular on-screen WWE personality. Jim Cornette pointed out how Paul Heyman looked terrified after Fatu's onslaught on SmackDown.
The Samoan Werewolf's arrival had been rumored for weeks, with fans patiently awaiting his arrival. They were rewarded with one of the best WWE debuts in recent memory when Jacob Fatu showed up during the closing moments of last week's episode. He took out Cody Rhodes, Kevin Owens, and Randy Orton all by himself, thus establishing himself as the most dangerous new addition to The Bloodline.
On his Jim Cornette Experience podcast, the former WWE manager spoke about how Fatu's debut was perfectly booked. Cornette explained that the 32-year-old legitimately looked like a beast who could take down anyone in his path.
He also mentioned that Paul Heyman, in particular, looked extremely scared of The Samoan Werewolf following his actions on the Friday night show.
A female WWE star said her life is in danger. Details HERE
"You can believe they brought this guy either out of jail or a nut house, and he hasn't even done his best stuff. I know someone would be like, 'Cornette, for a guy who hates moves, moves, moves, now you're talking about the guy's moves!' Yes, I'm talking about a godd**n personality who can come in and get over like a maniac and who can do jaw-dropping stuff while he's doing it. That's the key!'' he said.
The veteran added:
''He [Jacob Fatu] doesn't look like a 16-year-old from science class. He looks like someone who would eat your pet dog. I mean, he looks great, but not too great; he's crazy, and you saw Paul [Heyman] in the background, covering his eyes. He's scared of these people!'' (4:12-5:12)
Bill Apter was impressed by Jacob Fatu's WWE arrival
On the latest episode of Sportskeeda's UnSKripted podcast, Bill Apter shared his thoughts on the much-talked-about WWE arrival of Jacob Fatu. The veteran journalist stated that he hadn't witnessed such a euphoric debut in a long time, even though Fatu came out without any theme music.
"I haven't seen somebody catch that lightning fire in a long time, the way he [Jacob Fatu] caught it, and everybody, even today, they are still talking about that incredible impact that he made just by no theme music, nothing. Just showing up and shocking people," he said.
Considering just how much impact he created with a single appearance, there's no doubt there are only bright things ahead for Jacob Fatu in the coming months.
