WWE has occasionally been known to not capitalize on some stars' momentums, and one particular talent has seemingly been going through it recently. According to Dutch Mantel, the creative team has effectively hurt the said star's run by ignoring him.
Montez Ford is one-half of the Street Profits tag team. While the duo have won tag team titles before, they have seldom been at the top of the card for long enough to leave a mark. Montez's recent comments have sparked quite a discussion, considering he seemed frustrated with his current position on the main roster.
Speaking on Sportskeeda's Wrestling's SmackTalk show, Dutch Mantel shared his thoughts on the matter. He stated that the Stamford-based company had unintentionally faltered with the 34-year-old fan-favorite star. He also felt that it was likely too late for a push, as Ford did not have the momentum he did even until a year ago.
"What they have done, they've almost held back the turn of Montez Ford so long, I think they kinda hurt him unintentionally. I think instead of, you know pulling the trigger on him and letting him go, they kept saying 'eh, I don't know,' which is actually worse than not doing anything. Because you wear the people down just by the time you spend doing nothing with 'em. I don't think they're anywhere near as heated up as he were, say a year ago." [14:13 onwards]

WWE veteran thinks the Street Profits have only one way to get a push
According to Dutch Mantel, what the Street Profits need to do is be relentless and vocal about their own push on the roster.
Speaking on the same episode of Sportskeeda's Wrestling's SmackTalk show, Dutch Mantel was asked about his advice to the WWE tag team. He stated that they should keep being vocal about their recent complaints unless someone got tired of it and did something to change their current predicament.
"How to get out of it? Bi*ching. Just keep bi*ching, and bi*ching and bi*ching and bi*ching, [until they say] 'Goddamn we will give you something.' If you just stay in their ear and just complaing," he said. [13:51 onwards]
As of now, it remains to be seen how the Street Profits are booked down the line in WWE.
