The 2024 Money in the Bank Premium Live Event hosted some big matches on Saturday night. The event received mixed reactions, and a WWE Hall of Famer believes the Stamford-based company made a big mistake with the ending of the main event. That would be Bully Ray.
Fans watched Randy Orton and Kevin Owens team up with Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes to face The Bloodline at Money in the Bank. Solo Sikoa led Tama Tonga and Jacob Fatu into the battle and finished the job for his team.
Sikoa pinning Rhodes to win the match means that the former will likely get a title shot sooner rather than later. However, WWE legend Bully Ray believes the creative team could have put Jacob Fatu over at the end of the match.
While speaking on the Busted Open Radio podcast, Bully noted that Jacob Fatu should have pinned Cody Rhodes instead of Solo Sikoa.

"Wrong guy went over. Jacob Fatu, shock and awe. Jacob Fatu's first match in the WWE and he pins Cody Rhodes? Holy s**t. Then you have the look between Solo and Jacob, almost as 'How dare you?' and then you bring it to SmackDown and you have the stare-down again between Jacob and Solo, and Jacob bows his head and says 'Solo, you are my Tribal Chief, I acknowledge you, I love you, and I step to the side, it's your world championship match,'" Bully Ray said.
Ray added that it would have added to Sikoa’s influence as The Tribal Chief and made him look stronger after giving Fatu the push.
"Wow, talk about power, talk about fear, talk about being the Head of the Table. Two birds with one stone, giving Jacob Fatu a massive victory on his first night in, but then showing who truly is the boss of all bosses right now," Bully Ray said. [H/T WrestlingINC]
Cody Rhodes has held the Undisputed WWE Championship since WrestleMania XL. He has had a few good matches for the title but he is yet to get to the level Roman Reigns was at as the champion.
Many WWE fans were unhappy with the 2024 Men's Money in the Bank winner
There were a few disappointing spots during the 2024 Money in the Bank Premium Live Event last week. Fans also spotted several botches during the show.
One particular decision that did not sit well with many fans was seeing Drew McIntyre win the Money in the Bank briefcase and cashing it unsuccessfully later on. WWE could have brought in CM Punk to cost The Scottish Warrior the 2024 Men's Money in the Bank Ladder Match rather than ruining the World Heavyweight Championship match.
There were a few deserving stars who could have had a good run with the Money in the Bank briefcase. Many people wanted to see Jey Uso or LA Knight clinch the briefcase for a future title opportunity.
