Bret Hart is never afraid to say what he thinks about the people he worked with during his legendary career. WWE Hall of Famer Eric Bischoff, Hart's former boss in WCW, recently gave a scathing assessment of The Hitman's comments about Bill Goldberg.

In 2000, Hart retired from in-ring competition due to concussion issues. Since then, the wrestling legend has repeatedly blamed a botched kick from Goldberg at WCW Starrcade 1999 for his career-ending injury.

On his 83 Weeks show, Bischoff criticized Hart for frequently speaking negatively about Goldberg and others in the wrestling industry:

"I don't know if it's immaturity on Bret's part, but he is a miserable human being and he hasn't been able to move on. Maybe he's happy in other parts of his life and it's just not apparent, but any time we see or hear from Bret it's so f***ing miserable. Urgh, God, talk about a negative human being. He's like a giant rain cloud that just mopes around and will b***h and whine and moan and blame anybody he can blame to whoever's willing to listen. I mean, that's who Bret is." [1:23 – 2:02]

The story of the Starrcade 1999 incident was told in the four-part VICE docuseries Who Killed WCW. Bret Hart, Eric Bischoff, and Goldberg all appeared on the show to discuss the rise and fall of WWE's former rivals.

Eric Bischoff "feels bad" for Bret Hart

Goldberg was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2018. Bret Hart has been critical of the decision to add his former opponent to WWE's elite group, saying he belongs in the "Hall of Shame."

Eric Bischoff believes Hart should focus on the great things he has done in wrestling and stop discussing Goldberg so much:

"I feel bad for Bret. I've talked about this a million times. This guy, he's achieved so much. He's done things that very few people in the world will ever get an opportunity to even imagine, more or less actually do. He's made a fortune. There's no reason for this guy to be as dark and miserable as he is." [2:04 – 2:24]

Goldberg recently appeared on the Von Erich Podcast. He refused to mention Hart's name, instead referring to him as "the moron I kicked in the head."
