A WWE Hall of Famer, not named Donald Trump, is calling on President Biden to leave office after his announcement earlier today. The worlds of politics and pro wrestling often intersect, and a big example of the crossover came today as a legendary grappler is calling for the President of the United States to step down.
President Biden had been running for re-election against WWE Hall of Famer Donald J. Trump, but he withdrew from the race today seemingly amid growing concerns over his age, health, and performance. He will finish up his current term and has endorsed Vice President Harris for the 2024 election. Americans will take to the polls on November 4 to vote for Harris or the only former RAW owner in history to survive an assassination attempt. Trump has many supporters within pro wrestling, including Kane, aka Glenn Jacobs.
The Big Red Machine became The Big Red Mayor in 2018 as he was named Mayor of Knox County, Tennessee. Running as a Republican, Kane was re-elected in 2022 for his current and final term, which ends in 2026. Following today's blockbuster announcement by Biden, Kane took to his personal X account to call on the 46th President to step down before his term is over.
"If Joe Biden is not fit to run for president, he is not fit to serve as president. He needs to RESIGN NOW!" Kane wrote.

Donald Trump was the victim of an attempted assassination earlier this month. The shooting during a rally in Butler, PA left the 45th President with a minor ear injury. While 2 men were critically injured, and a man named Corey Comperatore was murdered.
Several names connected to pro wrestling shared their immediate thoughts on the assassination attempt, including JBL, Hulk Hogan, Mya Lesnar, and Logan Paul, who said the image of Trump raising his fist after the incident was "the most gangster image" ever.
Paul recently recorded a viral podcast with Trump and had a WWE championship photo-op. In addition to the aforementioned photo reaction, the current United States Champion later took to X to praise the most famous inductee from the WWE Hall of Fame Celebrity Wing.
"To survive an assassination attempt by mere millimeters, then stop your security so you can raise your fist in defiance of death is the most bad*ss thing I’ve ever seen in my life," Logan Paul wrote.
