WWE gears up to enter a new era in 2025 with the RAW Netflix Premiere scheduled for January 6. One of the most popular stars in professional wrestling, John Cena, will be a part of the show to kick off his retirement tour. However, another wrestling legend has recently confirmed sporadic appearances for the coming year.

WWE recently announced Jesse 'The Body' Ventura's return to the commentary team for Saturday Night's Main Event. The show will air from Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum, Uniondale, New York, on December 14.

The wrestling promotion has also revealed that the next edition of Saturday Night's Main Event will take place at Frost Bank Center in San Antonio, Texas, on January 25, 2025.

During his recent appearance on The Bill Simmons Podcast, Jesse Ventura expressed his excitement for the upcoming event. The 73-year-old said he would have creative freedom on commentary and do four shows a year.

"Handcuffs are off, I can say anything I want about anyone. I am, I'm very excited about it. I don't discuss finances, but it's acceptable and I'll be doing four a year," he said. [H/T: Fightful]

Jesse Ventura opens up about signing with WWE

Jesse Ventura has had an intriguing relationship with WWE. He successfully sued Vince McMahon for unpaid royalties. Despite the differences in the past, he was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 2004.

Earlier this year, Ventura inked a Legends deal with the global juggernaut. In a video shared on Substack, the veteran said he felt great about signing with the company. He pointed out how his life had gone full circle, and he was back to where it all began.

"Hell has frozen over. I'm back in the WWE as a legend. I've gone through negotiation. We've reached an agreement. I feel very good about it. I'm 73 years old now, and my life has now gone full circle. I got my first fame and fortune in the wrestling industry. I went on to do many many other things above and beyond wrestling and outside of wrestling. Now, maybe it's only right that I come back to wrestling in the twilight of my life and finish off what I always was. A pro wrestler," Ventura said. [From 00:13 to 00:59]
