A WWE legend issued a challenge to John Cena for one last match. This comes after The Cenation Leader announced that he plans to retire at the end of 2025.

Bully Ray is the latest to react to Cena's retirement announcement. Cena shocked the world when he showed up at Money in the Bank 2024 to announce that he would retire from in-ring action in 2025. He then also announced a farewell tour similar to the one Sting went on before his retirement earlier this year.

Following the news of his retirement, several critics and fans reacted. Even Bully Ray took to social media to challenge the 16-time world champion to one last match. The last time these two men shared the ring together was on an episode of WWE RAW in 2015 when Cena and The Dudley Boyz teamed up against New Day.

"Hey @JohnCena Last match? LMK xo Bully"

Bill Apter believes John Cena returned to replace The Rock

The Rock was involved in one of the biggest storylines in WrestleMania history this year when he teamed up with his cousin Roman Reigns to face Seth Rollins and Cody Rhodes. However, following WrestleMania XL, The Great One mentioned he was going away for a while.

Speaking on Sportskeeda's The Wrestling Time Machine, hosted by Mac Davis, Bill Apter stated the company was pulling in record numbers when The Rock was around, and now that he is not there, Cena has slipped in to replace him.

"After he left, things kinda leveled off, but they are still really, really, really good. So, at this point now, The Rock's not around, going back to the movies. This is the time John Cena wants to slip in, that you can ask the non-wrestling fan, name a wrestler who is in WWE, and they will say The Rock, Well, he's not there anymore, now the guy is gonna be John Cena."
