John Cena has been a prominent figure in the wrestling business for over two decades, carrying WWE on his shoulders for nearly ten years during his full-time career. Recently, Hall of Famer Kevin Nash made a huge claim about the 16-time World Champion.
The Franchise Player will officially retire from wrestling with a Farewell Tour from January to December 2025. He is also expected to appear on the debut episode of RAW on Netflix on January 6, 2025.
On his Kliq This podcast, Big Daddy Cool recalled spending time with John Cena in one of his returns to WWE. Kevin Nash praised The Cenation Leader's dedication to weightlifting and his professional demeanor, calling him "the last old-school guy" in the modern era:
"I spent a little time with [John] Cena when I came back. He liked lifting. I liked the way he carried himself. I think Cena was the last old-school guy to come through. Cena was the last old-school guy," he said. [From 01:49:58 to 01:50:30]

Chris Van Vliet on how WWE should book a program between John Cena and Cody Rhodes
Wrestling journalist Chris Van Vliet recently suggested that Cody Rhodes should be one of the 47-year-old WWE veteran's opponents during the latter's Farewell Tour next year. He explained that this feud would majorly benefit The American Nightmare.
Speaking on the INSIGHT podcast, Chris Van Vliet suggested a potential program between John Cena and Cody Rhodes, believing it could symbolize a "passing of the torch" moment and solidify The American Nightmare's position as the top babyface in WWE:
"John Cena was the biggest babyface in the company for a long long time. Cody Rhodes is now the biggest babyface in the company. So it feels like there could be a real passing of the torch moment here that involves a match," Vliet said. "But it just feels to me, like, if they had a program, even if it's a short program leading up to a match, that could really cement what Cody Rhodes is doing in this current that we have," he added.

Only time will tell if Cena will become a 17-time WWE World Champion before he rides into the sunset.
