Mark Henry won several titles during his WWE Hall of Fame career, including the World Heavyweight Championship and ECW Championship. In an exclusive interview, the 53-year-old gave his thoughts on an unwritten rule that some wrestlers fail to follow.
Henry performed in various roles as a WWE star. Many fans will remember him as a babyface comedy character, while others might know him best as a serious main-event bad guy.
Speaking to Sportskeeda Wrestling's Senior Editor, Bill Apter, Henry mentioned how wrestlers often repeat the same moves as their co-workers during shows. The World's Strongest Man believes in-ring talents further down the card should avoid using similar offense to those in the main-event scene:
"My opinion is everybody is entitled to do whatever they like, but you have to pay respect to who's in the main event, and if the guy in the main event does it, then you don't do it. If he gives you the green light, 'Hey, go ahead, I'm not doing that,' then it's on you," Henry said. [3:36 – 3:59]

Mark Henry thinks wrestling bosses should speak to talent
In 2018, Mark Henry wrestled in his final WWE match after 22 years with the company. The two-time Olympian went on to work in a backstage WWE role before serving as a coach and commentator for AEW between 2021 and 2024.
Henry added that higher-ups within wrestling companies should inform talent not to use moves that are usually reserved for top stars:
"You just have to be able to lead from the front, and I think that all people, all companies' heads should give a memorandum to all the talent. 'Guys, pay attention to the product. This is what we're doing in the main event. This is what Chris Jericho's doing. This is what Randy Orton is doing. If they're doing it, you don't.' That simple," he said. [4:01 – 4:32]
In the same interview, Henry said one major thing has changed in WWE since Triple H replaced Vince McMahon as the company's creative figurehead.
