A WWE legend made a surprise return to RAW this week. She has now reacted to it.
Candice Michelle was a top star in the WWE's women's division in the mid-2000s. During this time, she gained popularity due to her charisma and personality. Her good looks also helped her become a fan favorite. During her time with the Stamford-based promotion, Candice even captured the Women's Champion. She would eventually leave the company in 2009 and retire in 2017.
This past week on RAW, Candice Michelle made a sudden return and was at ringside. The WWE cameras panned and showed the former women's champion, who received a warm reception from the crowd. Following her RAW appearance, Candice did an interview with Steve Fall of Ten Count Media, in which she described how the backstage atmosphere had changed so much since she was last in the company.
"It didn't feel like I was in somebody else's house, you know, it was filled with integrity and love and compassion and grace, and that company has kind of gone through this whirlwind we all witnessed, you know, over time and to be there where Hunter is leading this group of superstars and it just seems so professional and filled with love and integrity, and I was so blessed to be there and for him to recognize me on national TV with my family was... it felt like winning the championship," she said. WWE legend Candice Michelle names her favorite opponent
During her time in the WWE, Candice Michelle got to work with several top stars such as Lita, Trish Stratus, and Mickie James. However, there is one woman with whom she loves to step into the ring.
During a recent interview with the Cafe de Rene podcast, Candice Michelle described how much she loved to face Beth Phoenix and why they had such great chemistry in the ring.
"Beth Phoenix was my favorite partner to work with. She was just coming back from her jaw being broken and kind of thought that her career was over. For me, I think what I'm best at is putting other people over... Just our dynamic, her being the Glamazon and me being this like up-and-coming model like our chemistry was so great. I was willing to sell the sh*t out of anything that she did and put her over which put me over," Michelle said.
Candice's final WWE match was against Beth Phoenix on the February 2, 2009 episode of RAW.
