A WWE legend was on RAW this week after a year away from the company. The last time he was seen on WWE programming was a year ago on the January 22 edition of RAW.
While this was his first appearance since the 40th Anniversary of Hulkamania In January 2024. The star has been controversial for some time now, with some politically incorrect statements being exposed when some private videos of his emerged. He was banned from the company for some time, and even removed from the Hall of Fame, but has since been reinstated.
Even so, the star's original popularity never returned, and while some fans support him, he has also received backlash whenever he's appeared. On the first-ever episode of WWE RAW on Netflix, with the company looking to make an impact, they brought the legend back to the show and he came out, accompanied by Jimmy Hart. Immediately, there was controversy. The fans, who had been cheering through the night, started to boo him so that he was barely audible.
He went on to say that he would not be here without the fans, and that also received further boos. He advertised his Real American Beer brand, which also proved to be an unpopular decision, with fans booing him out of the building.
Finally, he left, with fans talking about how it was a controversial decision to have him on.
It remains to be seen whether the company brings Hulk Hogan back again.
